The team at ACY Securities attended a very special event – ‘Stars of Sydney South West’ organised by the Cancer Council on Saturday night. The event showcased Sydney South West’s business owners and local personalities – the Stars – as they lit up the dance floor with local dance teachers to raise funds for the Cancer Council.
ACY Securities were the proud Gold Sponsors of the event, with our Star dancer, Coco Shi, performing amazingly well. What made this such an amazing achievement was the fact it was her first time on stage and that she had only met her dance teacher for the first time 1 week prior.
The team enjoyed a night of fun, dancing, food, raffles, auctions and specular entertainment all in the name of working towards a cancer-free future.
Chief Operating Officer, Ashley Jessen said “What truly makes the Cancer Council unique in my eyes are the stories shared by the volunteers and those who successfully recovered. In business and life, we need to remain optimistic. And it is with these real-life stories of recovery that we can all draw inspiration from, providing hope for a promising future. I feel inspired and grateful to be part of the Stars event and to hear so many positive stories of recovery and resilience.”
With 1 in 2 Australians diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85, the money raised from the event will go towards Cancer Council NSW and their world-class cancer research, prevention programs, advocacy, and support services to help those affected by cancer at every point in their journey.
Commenting on the event, Henrick Rajamountry – Head of Marketing said “ACY Securities is honoured to have been the Gold Sponsor of the ‘Stars of Sydney South West’, the work in which the Cancer Council do is admirable and goes a long way in helping those not only living with, but the individuals who support those with cancer on a daily basis. We’re proud to be able to contribute and know that collectively with the wider community, we are making a difference to the lives of all those who are affected by cancer.
